Calling It A Day

Fran

As the day pulls the sun down,
I rest my violin, sitting as it is, chestnut brown.
Still keen about music sheets,
my search goes on for tunes with a good beat.
After a joyful sing-a-long, my mind wonders about the world outside.
The streets have already died,
but my heart goes out to the investigation happening before my eyes.
I then take a warm shower,
the one thing no different to life before these dark hours.
I turn to ‘Hannibal’ to give me a few twists and turns in the night,
as my hours of sleep are extended to nine.
Oh, what a delight!
