I’ve done that task
In glory I bask
But not for long
Something else comes along
Until the to-do list is short
‘What more’ is my first thought
Not relief at an end in sight
I must be busy; it is only right
What else can I do?
Sometimes I feel blue
As the tasks pile high
But the end is nigh
I don’t want to get to the end
Nothing to do drives me round the bend
But often doing too much can be tough
Sometimes recognise that enough is enough
